"Commodore! What about Sparrow?" "Well, I think we can afford to give him one day's head start."
And perhaps if he hadn't been so prideful, Ex-commodore James Norrington might not have been in this situation. The strong tide and relentless waves that consumed the ship whole had seemingly decided to spare him, for he was spat up onto the shores of Tortuga. Managing to barter safe passage back to Port Royal as quickly as possible, it was needless to say that the British Navy was surprised when James appeared-- after all, he was believed to be dead. After being reinstated as Commodore of Port Royal, it seemed that wasn't quite enough to rid James of prideful anger toward one man in particular.
After escaping the noose and the clutches of Norrington, Jack Sparrow and his crew of misfits seemed to be sailing on a tide of good luck-- That was, until the hurricane hit. Taking the helm, the infamous captain was able to steer his beloved Pearl to safety deep within the city of Shipwreck only to return to Tortuga once the waters were clear. However, upon his return, whispers were circling. Rumor had it that a certain Commodore was back. Not only was he back, he was planning his own private expedition with special permission from the Governor and the director of the East India Trading Company; Lord Cutler Beckett. The goal: to wreak havoc upon the Caribbean. The prize: the head of Captain Jack Sparrow.
While he has been wanted before, it seems as though everyone is taking action now. Stepping back into the shadows, Jack must decide what to do. Run? Hide? Or bargain? With men and women of the crown after him and him alone, how long will it take before Jack is called out from among the crowd? If freedom is truly possible, is Jack Sparrow willing to pay the price? And if there is anyone still loyal to the captain, will they dare to Hoist the Colors?
